Advice if you are having difficulty in paying

If you are one of the many clients paying their premiums in monthly instalments, we appreciate that you may have difficulty in paying during this unprecedented crisis.

The overriding advice is to contact the lender before you miss a payment.  The lender will either be:

  • The insurance company

  • Close Premium Finance

  • Premium Credit Ltd

UK customers

If you are a customer for personal lines policyholder please contact them on 0333 321 8566

If you are a commercial lines policyholder, please contact us on 0333 321 8567

Alternatively, you can contact them via email at customerservicespf@closebrothers.com. Please provide your full name and address and your Policy Reference number which will start 500, 501 or 100, 101. You can find this reference on your paperwork from CPF.

If you are a PCL customer please contact the customer service centre on 0344 736 9836 and they will be able to assist you.

If you contact the lender in advance, they will do everything possible to work with you; reschedule payments etc.  Unfortunately, if you simply miss a payment the lender’s system automatically apply penalties and ultimately they can enforce cancellation of your policy.

It is imperative that your insurance covers remain in place.  Employers’ will still have statutory obligations; premises can still suffer losses; thefts will occur, and we must all be insured to drive our vehicles.
