Keen Insurance are proud supporters of Tonna RFC and Pancreatic Cancer UK

July 25, 2018

Following the sudden and saddening loss of a former club player and coach, Paul Davies, to pancreatic cancer in October 2017; Tonna RFC have committed to supporting the excellent work accomplished by Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly and difficult to treat diseases in the UK with only 5% of survivors living five years or more. Tonna rugby club hope to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer and contribute to the life-changing research needed to fight this deadly disease.

In order to help raise awareness, Tonna RFC have adopted a new kit for their youth, junior and senior teams to align with the purple colour used by the Pancreatic Cancer UK national awareness campaign. Keen Insurance are proud to sponsor the under 11’s side’s kit for the 2018/19 season.

The new purple kits were launched at a highly successful family fun day on Saturday 21st July. Thanks to generous public support, media attention and the hundreds in attendance, the club raised in excess of £3,000 for their charity.
